Dad accused of not paying $4.2 million in child support

Raising a child is a unique and incredible experience, and many individuals yearn for the opportunity to be a part of the journey. Some individuals are left to raise children alone without the help of another parent. Pennsylvania family law attorneys understand the laws and legal means that are available to help secure child support from another parent. In addition, attorneys are able to assist parents who are ordered to make payments if life circumstances and income resources change over the years. It is currently a mystery to why one father has not paid his child support, but he has become a wanted deadbeat dad.

The 67-year-old father has been accused of not making child support payments since 1994. He was originally ordered to make payments of $2,500 a month for his two children who lived in a different state than he. Over the years, the payments and interest has accumulated to more than $4.2 million in unpaid support.

The father is a cardiologist and was practicing medicine in Florida. In 2008, a warrant for the man's arrest was issued, but the man cannot be found. Some believe the man has moved to Israel with occasional trips back to the United States to practice medicine.

Most parents can attest to the financial stress that can occur when raising a child. Parents who are raising a child without any physical or financial support may find the task more difficult. Pennsylvania attorneys can advise parents of the legal avenues they may pursue to help obtain ordered payments from another parent. Parents who are struggling to make court-ordered payments may find helpful advice from an attorney with how to renegotiate payments to avoid unnecessary legal trouble.
